NAVAIR 3.6: Lockheed Martin is the prime contractor and systems integrator for the Naval Air Systems Command, headquartered at Patuxent River Maryland. The NAVAIR 3.6 program provides total Systems Integration services and products to manage NAVAIR systems command’s logistics information system at multiple US sites. The scope of the task includes life cycle support for Naval Aviation Logistics Data Analysis Integrated Data Environment (NALDA IDE). Lockheed Martin provides enterprise resource planning, functional and program management support, operations and maintenance support, systems and data administration, web support, telecommunications and quality assurance. Lockheed Martin’s logistics information systems support Automated Maintenance Environment (AME), Metrology Automated System for Uniform Recall and Reporting (MEASURE) and Configuration Management Information System (CMIS). Process improvements include a comprehensive Data Warehouse Project (eDATA), enterprise architecture, configuration management, risk management and CMM Level 3+ certification.

Defense Message System (DMS) The Air Force awarded the DMS contract to Lockheed Martin in 1995. The DMS, based upon industry leading commercial products, provides highly secure, accountable, reliable writer-to-reader electronic messaging system. It will replace the Department of Defense’s legacy Automatic Digital Network (AUTODIN) system as well as over 45 disparate E-mail systems in use within the DoD. The DMS provides X.400-based messaging handling system (Message Transfer System and Specialty Components), global X.500 directory services, and a service management capability. The DMS will provide a uniform, seamless messaging system with full interoperability among the messaging assets throughout the DoD.
Business Systems Modernization (BSM) The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Business Systems Modernization (BSM) supports the full range of functions and processes for the management, administration, operational use, and disposal of ammunition at the Inventory Control Point (ICP)/Command level. It requires demand planning, supply planning order management, procurement, item cataloging, and finance functionality. As a subcontractor to Accenture, Lockheed Martin provides program management, systems integration security, and GCSS-AF logistics liaison and operates the BSM Production Center.
Commercial Business Systems: Our Commercial business unit provides enterprise-wide solutions to a number of customers who have household names in chemicals, electronics, manufacturing, healthcare and telecommunications. We have provided commercial information management including large-scale integration, legacy system migration and communication software integration and customization for industrial and financial organizations.
Defense Financial Integrated Systems Services (DFISS): The DFISS program belongs to the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS). Lockheed Martin Systems Integration provides substantial experience in Automated Information Systems (AIS), information technology applications, financial and pay systems, software capability measurement, client-server environments, Open Systems Engineering (OSE) migration and COTS integration. We bring proven skills in upgrading and migrating legacy systems to support the needs of DFAS, quickly and decisively.
Defense Logistics Agency Systems Engineering Technical Services (DSETS): Lockheed Martin Systems Integration provides diverse services to the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) in support of this contract, including functional and software design, software development and deployment, business process re-engineering and integration, technical systems integration and total contract administration. The program manages and tracks reports on the various tasks that are performed in support of the critical DLA and other DoD activities.
Information Technology Support Services (ITSS): Customers have access to Lockheed Martin resources and capabilities through the ITSS Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA). As the ITSS prime contractor, Lockheed Martin Systems Integration has more than 40 years experience as a systems integrator. We have devised an integrated systems development process that starts with a rigorous understanding of requirements and then works phase-by-phase through development, integration, test and release. The services that Lockheed Martin Systems Integration provides under our GSA Schedule (BPA) for ITSS include Defense Information Infrastructure (DII) Common Operating Environment (COE) compliance, development, testing and planning services, training and systems integration support to ensure compatibility and interoperability with current and future information technology requirements. Software development for numerous customers and programs is performed at Lockheed Martin Software Engineering Institute Capability Maturity Model (SEI CMM) Level 5 and Lockheed Martin has attained ISO 9001 and 14000 certification.
Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD): As the prime contractor, Lockheed Martin Systems Integration provides Information Technology (IT) services to the OSD in support of its Operational Information Technology Environment at the Pentagon. The company’s Systems Solutions unit in Manassas, Va. provides seat management, network services, application packages and development, information assurance, document management, and enterprise email. The Manassas unit is currently assisting reconfiguration of the OSD Enterprise infrastructure with EMC storage equipment.
Information Technology Services (ITS): As the prime contractor, Lockheed Martin Systems Integration provides Information Technology (IT) offerings to the Air Force as well as to the rest of DoD. The partnership with the Air Force is conducted through Lockheed Martin’s Team Falcon which includes 26 large companies, 10 small businesses and 12 Small Disadvantaged Businesses (SDBs). Its offerings include COTS implementation, Web and Portal technologies, e-Business capabilities Storage Network Solutions, etc. The Team Falcon leverages the extensive experiences in DoD projects that are DII COE and JTS compliant such as GCSS-AF Integration Framework, GTN, TBMCS, GCCS-A and ASAS-BLK IILM, and Lockheed Martin’s CMM SEI Level 5 certification. Further, the team brings an extensive and broad experience in system security, in development of the AF Portal, in Win 2000/Exchange 2000, in the server and email consolidation, and in other IT Summit initiatives.
